KcalOS · Coming soon

A lightweight calorie tracker.

Log what you ate, see where the day stands against a target computed from your own numbers, and keep an honest history so the week means something. On-device, deterministic, and offline once you're in.

Not yet available on the App Store

No date to give, and no waitlist to join — check back here. Of the five HealthOS apps, only CardialOS is on the App Store today.

What it does

What's built today, plainly stated — nothing here is a roadmap item drawn as if it shipped.

A target computed from you

Three onboarding steps — body stats, goal, activity — and the computed target shows before it saves.

Search that just works

Ranked search over a bundled food table; quick add covers anything the table does not have.

Today, at a glance

A calorie ring, macro bars, meals grouped by slot, a signed remainder, and date navigation.

Deterministic, not guessed

No AI anywhere in the logging path. Every target comes from a published equation, not a model.

Questions

What is KcalOS?

A lightweight calorie tracker for iPhone. Log what you ate, see where the day stands against a target computed from your own numbers, and keep an honest history so the week means something.

Is it on the App Store yet?

Not yet. The App Store record exists, but no build has been released. This page will change to a real download link when that happens — no date to give in the meantime.

Does it use AI to log food?

No — there is no AI anywhere in the logging path. Search runs against a bundled food table, and quick add covers anything the table does not have.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with Apple or Google for identity. Nothing you log is uploaded — the body details from setup are saved to your account, and the diary stays on your device.

Does it work offline?

Once you've signed in, yes — logging, search and your history all work on-device with no connection.

The family

KcalOS is one of five HealthOS apps, each its own small, focused thing.
